Marzia Mellano is a painter living in Fossano (CN), a town in Piedmont, where she was born in 1972.
Her inborn desire for art in general was conveyed by her father, Vincenzo Mellano, whose sensitivity and creative skills she has inherited.
Initially self-taught, she later learned design and painting techniques with great masters in her area such as Piero Billò and Massimo Maffioli; and later works in Turin with Prof. Margherita Giachino-Amistà Alacevich.
She also took design, anatomy and pictorial tecniques courses at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Cuneo.

Her paintings are realistic turning everyday life into art. Her roots are to be found in Positivism and in the objective analysis of reality, thanks to her great and interesting personality and interpretation powers.
At times she will reproduce scenes of everyday life, foreshortenings and samples of Italian Regions and their traditions.
In Marzia Mellano’s paintings with an explosion of colours, we see a delicate painting brush revealing with each layer her style in painting - an universe of soft and delicate glazing giving a pleasant sensation to the picture’s subject.
The delicate works of this painter have light tones and interpret scenes of life with a simple and delicate poetic sensation.
With these watercolours an artistic project comes to light with strong cultural and historical characteristics of a country such as Italy which has so much to offer to art lovers.
